We’d wandered along the stretch and The Bay had the best seats with a wonderful view. Fantastic service from Richard. Lovely beers, burger and prawn cocktail were delicious. Thanks for a great start to the weekend - excellent welcome, thank you.

This family run cafe/restaurant is brilliant, amazing vibes, very smart and tropical. The owner is a really nice person, even though it was really busy, he was very kind and spent time to make sure everything is okay. The drinks and food were amazing. I wouldn't want to give my business to anyone else!

I had coffee here whilst I waited for my daughter. The coffee was lovely. We decided to lunch here and had the corn fed chicken with mushroom and truffle linguini. It was absolutely amazing! My daughter will be going back there with her partner. The staff were friendly and attentive. The toilets were clean and tidy.

Me and my partner booked the private room on the second floor for after our wedding ceremony and this could not have been a better location to have host us. The room was beautifully decorated and they had gotten us a personalised card which was a lovely touch! The food was the best food I have had in quite sometime (me and my partner both had the lamb) no complaints from anyone in our party of 23! Drinks were expertly made by the private bar we had upstairs. The staff were so lovely and attentive, One of the managers Claire made booking and organising smooth and stress free, answered all our (many) questions over email very promptly, I apologise if I have gotten the next two names incorrect (however at this point I was several wines and cocktails into the afternoon) But I believe it was Emma and Caitlin (apologies for spelling?) Who were absolute superstars! They were very friendly and personable, they enchanced our experience with their smiles and witt! I apologise if I missed anybody, the whole team at the bay are incredible and I thank them endlessly for making a day ill always remember that much more special, anytime I have an excuse I will go back and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone, wether that be a meal, private function or for just drinks. Once again thank you!

⸻ 5 Stars Hands down the best Sunday roast I’ve had in ages—possibly ever. From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere and welcoming staff set the tone for what turned out to be a perfect Sunday experience. The roast beef was tender and juicy, the potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, and don’t even get me started on the Yorkshire puddings—absolute clouds of golden perfection. Every element on the plate felt carefully crafted,It’s clear they treat the Sunday roast like an art form here. If you’re looking for the kind of meal that feels like a warm hug and tastes like tradition elevated, this is the spot.

Called in for a drink this morning while walking our dogs. Service and location are exceptional and it's great that the outside area is 'dog friendly'. They even bought some fresh water and a couple for dog treats for them!! We will definitely return to try out the menu. Thanks again for a fabulous overall customer experience.

Had to be in Torquay (a town I'm not very familiar with) on business. Wandered along & thought The Bay looked pretty good so sat down for lunch. Chosen at random. Wow - what a lucky choice! I'm going to just say it - the BEST chips I have EVER had - anywhere in the world. Over a week later I'm still thinking about them! I know - ridiculous, but the Parmesan Chips were epic. The rest of the menu was excellent too (Moules, Prawn Cocktail, Squid - all very, very good). Charming friendly service & a delightful chat with the owner as well.

Had a lovely experience here with my wife. It was her birthday but we kept this quiet and just wanted a nice meal before going off to the theatre. We were not disappointed. Staff friendly and helpful especially with GF options. Some great menu choices and delicious food with some very delicate touches to make a difference to the dish. Highly recommend. Thank you.
